If you'd like to try out JSBSim's helicopter capabilities within FlightGear, a simple AH-1S model is now available at my hangar. Please read the readme included in the package for information. This model is built for FlightGear code from about February or newer, and JSBSim code from March 10th or newer.
Hi Dave, I am going to model the flight dynamics of a EC725 helicopter for a project between Cassidian and Eurocopter. These helicopters are for Brazilian's Navy.
ReplyDeleteAt first moment I do not need a perfect representation of how EC725 flies. A basic helicopter model would be fit nice, once the major concern is to test all the payloads (equipments such as radar, ins/gps, missile etc) based on some helicopter variables (altitude, heading etc).
I will use JSBSim as an API to build this simulation. Could you tell me where I can find an example of a basic helicopter configuration using JSBSim?
